While exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, it’s also vital to make sure you’re hydrated both during and after exercise. Even mild dehydration can impair brain function, so if there’s a big test coming up, or a stressful day at work, drinking plenty of water can help you to concentrate. A common symptom of dehydration is tiredness too, so if your morning exercise feels even harder than normal, you may just need a drink of water!

Preventing cancer

As crazy as it may sound, drinking water has been proven to help prevent certain types of cancer. Having plenty to drink can help reduce the risks of bladder, colon, and breast cancer within the body, some by up to 50%! That’s crazy, right?! Help your skin

Skin is the biggest organ of the human body, so what is the excuse for not keeping it hydrated? And no, we don’t mean moisturizer! By drinking plenty of water, the body can flush out impurities in the skin, giving you a clearer complexion. Don’t be put off though if you feel like you have more spots to start off with, it’s just the body ridding itself of dirt after years of build up. Gross. It also helps the skin to regulate the body’s temperature by sweating.

Giving your body the right fuel

Your body is always working and making sure that you have the right nutrients in the right places. Water helps aid in circulation, and without the right transportation system then you aren’t going to be going anywhere fast. Drinking enough water will assist in making sure your body is getting what it needs.
From health benefits to practical reasons, there are plenty of upsides to drinking enough water every day, and with no harmful effects what is there to lose from upping your intake? By carrying a water bottle with you, or making sure you have a drink with each meal, you can easily begin to increase the amount you are consuming every day and start to reap the benefits!
