These celebrities hung out with Royal Family members and it was fantastic

The Royal Family has been a major focus of attention by the media, as well as people all over the world. Everyone loves them, and we’re not just talking about the people of England. They’re even more glamorous and pristine than your regular celebrity, and their lives are fascinating. As so much is kept a secret regarding the Royal Family, people are extremely curious about them, so every little bit of information about them makes us giddy.

Celebrities are adored and revered by many people, but they’re no match for the Royal Family. So when they get a chance to meet the royals, they get excited just like the rest of us would. Sure, they’re probably better at retaining their composure (being actors and all that), but they get nervous nonetheless. The funny thing, however, is that the Royal Family members might be just as excited to meet these celebrities.

The royals are basically huge celebrities, but they also do regular things like watching TV shows and films, and they have actors and music artists that they love, just like the rest of us. So if they get to meet some of them, they might become just as starstruck. Sometimes, these celebs get along so well with the royals, they even become friends. Either way, these pictures show some of these crazy encounters between regular celebrities and the Royals. Some of them might just make you laugh…

Cara Delevingne

We’re not sure if Cara Delevingne is laughing at Prince Charles’ amazing sense of humor, or just really excited about meeting some royals. But then again, who wouldn’t be? The British model and ‘Suicide Squad’ actress met Prince Charles at a charity event dedicated to saving the Asian Elephant from extinction, which was hosted by him and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in 2013.

While she’s a few decades younger than the rest, they seem to enjoy each other’s company.

Kanye West and P. Diddy

Now this is what we call a party! When famous rappers Kanye West and P. Diddy (or Puff Daddy, or whatever he goes by these days) met Prince Harry and Prince William, it seemed like the party was officially on.

They met at the reception after a 2007 London concert, which was held in memory of Princess Diana, William and Harry’s mother. The two princes were both bachelors at the time, although William was already dating now-Duchess Kate.

Reese Witherspoon

Duchess Kate Middleton has been a fashion symbol ever since she started dating Prince Harry, and who knows fashion better than Elle Woods herself, Reese Witherspoon? The Legally Blonde actress met with Kate in 2011, at the Launch of Tusk Trust’s US Patron’s Circle reception, and the two apparently really took to each other.

The Duchess even sent Reese a present when she gave birth to her son, Tennessee, in 2012. We knew she was a genuine sweetheart!

Serena Williams

Apparently, tennis legend Serena Williams is pretty good friends with Duchess Meghan. The two met in 2010 at the Super Bowl party and immediately hit it off. Meghan even wrote about the encounter in her former blog The Tig, saying the two discussed girly stuff and bonded.

The Duchess and the tennis champion been close friends ever since, supporting each other through major events, such as Wimbledon tournaments and royal weddings. And now expecting royal babies is added to the list!

Nicole Kidman

Most celebrities get extremely excited if they get a chance to meet with the Royal Family. But judging by this picture, it seems that Prince William was the one who could hardly contain himself, when he met with Australian actress Nicole Kidman at the BAFTA Brits To Watch event in Los Angeles.

We can hardly blame him, though, because Nicole is basically fantastic at everything she does. And we’re pretty sure she’s equally excited to meet The Prince.

Angelina Jolie

Actress and director Angeline Jolie has done an impressive amount of charity work and has raised awareness for countless causes, such as preventing violence against women around the world. That’s why in 2014, she was presented with honorary damehood by Queen Elizabeth at the Buckingham Palace in London.

It was a huge honor, and Angie seemed genuinely moved to receive the honorary title from The Queen herself. She even looked like a proper royal, wearing that stylish suit.

Jennifer Lopez and her mother

When you know you’re about to meet Royal Family members and your mother want to meet them as well, what do you do? Bring her along, too! At least, that’s what Jennifer Lopez did at the 2011 BAFTA Brits To Watch Event in 2011.

Guadalupe Lopez (who bears a striking resemblance to her daughter, by the way), got to meet Prince William and Duchess Kate along with her daughter, and she seems pretty excited about it.

Taylor Swift and Jon Bon Jovi

This magical moment happened at the Kensington Palace charity event which took place in 2013. Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi, and Prince William, actually shared a stage and sang “Livin’ on a Prayer” together. Who knew Prince William could sing? We certainly did not.

We’re not sure if it’s a very royal thing to do for a prince, but we’re loving it anyway. We’d like more moments like this from Prince William, please!

Anna Wintour

The legendary Vogue editor Anna Wintour had the honor of sitting next to Queen Elizabeth at the London Fashion Week last February. Honestly, we’re not sure which would be more intimidating – sitting next to The Queen or next to Anna Wintour.

Either way, these two really seemed to hit it off, smiling and laughing it out during Richard Quinn’s fashion show. We just wonder what Wintour would have to say about The Queen’s fashion style…

Marilyn Monroe

This picture, which dates back to 1956, is rare footage of The Queen meeting with the iconic Marilyn Monroe. The two were both 30 years old at the time, so if Marilyn was still alive, she would have been the same age as The Queen.

Monroe was living in Hollywood with husband Arthur Miller, and Elizabeth II had been The Queen for approximately five years, when the two met at the premiere of The Battle of the River Plate, which was held at London’s Leicester Square.

LeBron James

We’re not sure who’s more excited about this encounter – Prince William and Duchess Kate, or legendary basketball player LeBron James. The couple met with LeBron at Barclays Center in New York back in 2014, for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets game.

It seems that the Cavaliers were so excited about the Royals sitting court side, they stepped up their game even further and beat the Nets 110-88. LeBron even said, “Yeah, they brought luck to us.”

Jennifer Aniston, Stephen Fry, and Geri Halliwell

Having the Friends star Jennifer Aniston and the Spice Girls in the same picture together is like an explosion of the ’90s, and we can barely contain it. It seems that Prince Charles is pretty excited about it too.

Monty Python legend Stephen Fry was also there, to make this weird combination of people even stranger, and he probably had quite a few funny things to say about it. How we wish we were there!

The cast of Jurassic Park

The late Princess of Wales, Princess Diana, was probably one of the most beloved Royal Family members, and people, on the planet. Here she was photographed in the London premiere of Jurassic Park, in 1993, as she’s meeting director Steven Spielberg and some of the cast.

Even Ariana Richards (on the left), who played the little girl Lex, got to meet Princess Di, and actor Sam Neill (right center) too. We wonder what The Princess thought of the movie, because we loved it.

Jay Z and Beyoncé

Some people think of Jay Z and Beyoncé like royalty – they don’t call her Queen Bey for nothing! Perhaps that’s why people were freaking out when this couple met with an actual royal couple – Prince William and Duchess Kate.

Beyoncé, of course, seems cool and poised like she always is (and as queens should be), but the rest of the people in that court are busy taking shots of this wonderful, wonderful moment.

John Travolta

It was one of those unforgettable moments back in 1985, when Princess Diana made her first trip to the U.S. President Reagan and his First Lady, Nancy Reagan, hosted a black-tie party at the White House, which the Princess attended.

While she met many celebrities at the occasion, no one left an impression quite like John Travolta (after breaking out as an actor in Saturday Night Fever and Grease). The two hit the dance floor and, as you can see, it was glorious.

The Beatles

Princess Margaret, The Queen’s only sibling who’s considered to be the more “rebellious” sister – one that many people adore for that very reason. In 1965, iconic British rock band The Beatles met with Princess Margaret, the Countess of Snowdon, as well as her husband Antony Armstrong-Jones, the Earl of Snowdon, at the London Pavilion.

It was the premiere of The Beatles’ film ‘Help!’ and the popular band members seem pretty darn excited about meeting members of the Royal Family.

Priyanka Chopra

Miss World Priyanka Chopra met the Duchess in 2017, in ELLE magazine’s Women in Television event. The two bonded over acting (apparently Chopra was a fan of Suits), and became close friends. Meghan even called her “unbelievable” and said the two just clicked.

Priyanka has since defended Meghan quite a few times when she was accused for being allegedly “fake”, and was pretty excited to learn about her pregnancy. She even reportedly said she needed to catch up – so Nick Jonas, you better start working on it!

The Spice Girls

These pictures got us pretty darn nostalgic for the ’90s. Back then, the Spice Girls were one of the biggest icons of Great Britain, so why wouldn’t they get to meet Prince Charles, really? Only, perhaps they took it a bit too far.

You’ll notice Sporty Spice wiping something off of the Prince’s cheek (we sincerely hope she didn’t use her saliva), and Ginger Spice is getting pretty friendly with him. We won’t even mention that lipstick on his face.

Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren is a legendary actress, who got to play the role of Queen Elizabeth II for the film The Queen. She played the part wonderfully (and even snagged an Oscar for it), and we guess The Queen thought so herself. The two shook hands, and Mirren admitted she is “genuinely always astounded by her aura, her twinkle, her presence.”

British singer Ellie Goulding, who reportedly dated Prince Harry for a while before Meghan Markle came along, is standing right in the back.

Leonardo DiCaprio

In this particular case, we’re pretty sure it’s the Royals who were more excited to meet the celebrity than the other way around. Not that meeting Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie wouldn’t be absolutely thrilling, but as they were young ladies at the time, we can only imagine they were just as smitten with Leonardo DiCaprio as we were back then.

Even the Titanic star looks like he’s just posing with two regular fans. Show some excitement, Leo! You’re in the presence of royalty!

Daniel Craig

Many people were quite shocked when The Queen herself agreed to participate in an amusing sequence in the 2012 Olympics held in London. The skit saw Daniel Craig as James Bond, arriving at the palace to escort The Queen to the ceremony, and it was glorious.

It’s reported that she was very keen to get her picture taken with the actor, and even insisted that the rest of the staff get to take pictures with him as well. She’s definitely our favorite Bond girl as of yet!

Tom Hardy and Olivia Colman

In March this year, Tom Hardy and Olivia Colman – both incredibly talented actors – got to meet Prince Charles at The Prince’s Trust Awards. Tom Hardy is no stranger to the Royal Family.

The reason behind his connection with Prince Harry is somewhat secretive, and he was even invited to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding, to which he attended with his wife, actress Charlotte Riley. We love this funny moment between the three in this picture, especially that hilarious expression on Olivia’s face.

Eddie Redmayne

Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne was invited to the Windsor Castle in December 2016, to receive the OBE award for his work in drama. The actor, who actually went to school with Prince William, got to meet The Queen and talk to her for a bit, as she took an interest in his work.

He referred to the experience as “humbling” and said, “It is something that I had never thought of and it was never in my wildest imagination.” And doesn’t he look dashing?
