Companies and businesses around the world stopped what they were doing, packed their bags, and moves to Dubai in search of their riches, and the rest of the population followed them. Between 1968 – 1975 alone, Dubai grew in population by an incredible 300%. As more and more people started their lives in this city, the increase in wealth helped them transform their city into a tourist destination that would later appeal to celebrities and rich folk alike. It truly is a destination that has to be seen to be believed. Although the average wage-earner can afford a trip to Dubai, the city largely caters for their visitors will millions of dollars in the bank, and gold bars in their safe. Luxury hotels offer 5* service and Michelin restaurants, spas and beauty salons offer the best and most exclusive products and services, and the malls offer some of the biggest designer labels in the world. All in one city! But how much can you really get for your money in Dubai? Well, if you’re looking to really splash the cash, you might want to tickle your taste buds with the world’s priciest cocktail that will set you back around $1,350, and if your skin is feeling a little dry, you might want to indulge in a $7,000 facial complete with 24-karat-gold. There is so much to see and do in Dubai; you’d need a whole month to truly process what’s going on in front of your eyes…
