What do Khal Drogo, Aquaman, Declan Harp, and Baba Voss all have in common? Well, not only are they some of the coolest cats around, but they are all characters played by the bearded legend, Jason Momoa. Over the years, this Hawaiian actor has taken the world by storm with his rugged physique and his talent on the screen, but he’s also become a leading figure in pop culture. After all, have you ~seen~ his Instagram feed?!
It seems as though his fans (us included) just can’t get enough of his intense climbing videos, his cheeky BTS shots, and the true love he has for his friends and family. Yes, Jason Momoa has stolen all of our hearts at some point or another, but on April 18, 2019, Jason did the unthinkable. The bearded beast shaved off his iconic beard, and we just don’t know how we’ll ever mend our broken hearts. The only saving grace is that it was for a good cause.

There’s a high chance you’ve heard of Jason Momoa before. After all, he’s one of the most famous men in Hollywood. Although he has been around for much longer than you’d think, the last few years have seen a rise in the “Momoa Effect,” and it seems as though everyone wants a piece of him.
The Hawaiian actor has put his name to some of the biggest characters to grace our screen, and within many of these roles, he’s been able to maintain a few of his defining characteristics. With his long sea-salty curls and his rugged beard, Momoa has been able to transform himself into underwater superheroes, ancient barbarians, and Dothraki chieftains. However, we’ve now got to say “aloha” to his beard, because this acting legend has shaved it off completely.
