Jan Zelezny is an Olympic champion as well as a world record holder. He holds the record for the top five javelin performances in history. He set the world record in 1996 with a 98.48 throw, and set the world championships record in 2001 with a throw of 92.8m.

Further, he is the only man to have won three javelin gold medals. He has thrown 53 of 99 throw over 90 meters. He still works for the IOC and is also a coach in Prague.
