That’s right, we said it. We were all thinking it, but it was about time that we all came out and decided to acknowledge the influence and impact that the females have had on the Marvel films. It comes at us from all different angles, and perhaps this is our point. It’s a subtle art that isn’t always easy to hit the mark, and here’s what we mean by that. There’s a difference between finding an actress who’s conventionally attractive, and deciding to put her in your film solely for that reason – and finding an actress who you actually think will be good for a particular role. The casting directors for the Avengers films were sensational at finding the perfect blend between those two worlds.
The women that have graced our screens in the various Avengers films have not only displayed a unique blend of personality traits, from quirky, to delicate, to rough around the edges, to straight up captivating – but they have also made us want to date each and every one of them. Whether it’s one of the original Avengers, such as Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, or whether it’s one of the girls who joined the party a bit later, such as Elizabeth Olsen’s portrayal of the Scarlet Witch, they never fail to put us in a trance. In fact, putting people in trances is one of the Scarlet Witch’s superpowers, so we’re not surprised that she’s managed to have that mysterious effect on us.
In addition to the core group of Avengers, there have also recently been a strong handful of lady friends that joined the party in the recently released Avengers: Infinity War. Some of our favorite women from Guardians of the Galaxy became honorary Avengers very recently, and we were very happy to have them aboard. From the characters on screen, to the supremely talented actresses that portray them on the set, they’ve really gotten a hold on us – and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be letting go any time soon.
