Error: It would be quite hilarious and probably break his manly image that we have built in our minds to find out the Mel Gibson and the macho character that he played in the movie wore a skirt for nothing.
One of the actor’s prominent and most recognized with outfits included a kilt, a traditional Scottish garment from the 16th century. As the film was set in 1300, it doesn’t really make any sense that he would be wearing that. Now that’s brave.
